1987 Opening of the first branch office in Zug
1989 Expansion of the sales outlet network – opening of the branch in Buchs SG
1992–1998: Expansion of the sales network in Geneva, Baar/ZG and Zug, and integration of Holiday Maker Reisen
1999 Founding of bta Holding AG, based in Steinhausen/Zug
2000–2007 Expansion of the sales outlet network in Arbon/TG, Basel, Solothurn and Lucerne
2010 Merger with First Business Travel, the business travel division of Hotelplan Switzerland & Change of name to bta first travel
2015 Partnership with ATPI, a leading global network of business travel companies
2018 & 2019 Awarded ‘Best Travel Management Company’ at the Swiss Business Travel Awards
2020 Integration of the Baar/ZG and Zug branches into the Hotelplan Suisse sales network
2020 Merger of the Geneva and Lausanne branches in Rolle/VD
2020 Merger of the Glattbrugg and Zurich branches in Glattbrugg/ZH
2021 Merger of the Buchs and St. Gallen branches in Widnau/SG
2023 Consolidation of international business within the newly formed ATPI Team Switzerland in Steinhausen
2024 Expansion of the sales network – opening of the Lugano/TI branch
2025 Hotelplan Suisse is acquired by the DERTOUR Group
2026 Kuoni Business Travel is integrated into bta first travel and rebranded as bta first travel
